College Outcomes Data

Privacy Policy

By the College Outcomes Data Editorial Team  ·  Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what information College Outcomes Data collects when you visit collegeoutcomesdata.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is a static publication of public federal data; it has no user accounts, no comments, no checkout and no application forms, which sharply limits what could be collected in the first place. The only information you can actively submit is a message through the contact form, described below.

Information we collect

Like most websites, the site and its hosting and analytics providers receive standard technical information when your browser requests a page: internet protocol address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page and timestamps. We use privacy-respecting analytics (configured with the measurement identifier shown in the page source) to count visits and understand which pages are useful; analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors. We do not collect names, addresses or financial information through browsing, and we do not buy, sell or rent visitor information.

Cookies and advertising

The site may display advertising served by Google and its partners. Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to visitors based on their visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and you can learn about opting out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. The site itself sets only cookies needed for basic function and analytics, and advertising cookies are governed by the advertising provider's policies as described here.

Contact form information

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you submit are delivered to the site's editorial inbox and used only to read and, where appropriate, reply to your enquiry, including data-correction reports. Contact submissions are not added to mailing lists, sold, shared for marketing, or used for any purpose other than handling the enquiry itself. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial or student-record information through the form; it is intended for questions about published data and site content.

Data about colleges is not data about you

Every statistic on this site is an aggregate published by the U.S. Department of Education about cohorts of students, with small-cohort values suppressed by the source to protect individuals. No page on this site contains information about any identifiable student, and nothing you do on this site adds your information to any dataset we publish. Links to external sites, including collegescorecard.ed.gov and colleges' own sites, are governed by those sites' privacy policies, which we do not control.

Your choices and contact

You can limit cookies through your browser settings, opt out of personalised advertising through the mechanisms described above, and browse the site with analytics-blocking tools without losing access to any content — every page here is public and free. If you have a question about this policy, or believe information you submitted should be deleted, contact the editorial team through the contact page and we will act on verified requests. Changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated stamp; continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy for future visits.

Note on this data: Figures on this page come from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard release retrieved in October 2026. Earnings cover students who received federal financial aid and were working and not enrolled at the measurement point; they are medians for a defined past cohort, not a promise of what any individual graduate will earn. Check the college and the Scorecard for the most current figures before you decide.
